    Obscenity Prosecution Task Force
    by Bob Maschi

On September 27, 2005, National Public Radio (NPR) reported that: “The Justice Department is pressing ahead with plans to step up its prosecution of obscenity cases, and it has come up with new rules intended to put the brakes on Internet porn.” (They did a hell of a job, braking that internet porn, didn’t they?).

Twelve years ago, the US Justice Department created the Obscenity Prosecution Task Force (OPTF – which also stands for Oil Palm Trunk Fiber, really). Its most notable prosecution was against the creator of the “Girls Gone Wild” videos. Other targets were producers of bestiality and child pornography. The task force was dissolved in 2011.
